Some Ska-Lip-So

If you're anything like me, the banter on blogs plays a secondary role (except in rare cases) to the digital goodies you can download. Our podcast offers mixes and music in context, but maybe you wish to get your hands on some unmixed tracks and this blog shall grant that request.

To avoid problems, we'll probably keep songs to old records that only music nerds want. We will also only post things we purchased with our hard-earned dollars and will constantly encourage you to wander out and buy things as well.

So, here's a little record I tracked down at Play de Record on Yonge street. They used to have a 2nd hand record shop also, but it disappeared and that collection now rotates through their main store. To be truthful, this record ain't the best thing ever made, but there are one or two tracks that really show the potential of this ska and calyspo fusion. The best track on it is called Ethiopia and 'tis the one to be shared presently. The file size might seem a bit hefty for one song.... but it's to keep the audiophiles and disc jockeys pleased.

Whoopsidasies!

I forgot that I'd made a blog site. I was pretty excited about it too and today realized that people were listening to the podcast via El Mogblog, which I didn't anticipate.... considering I've ignored it since November and started it in October.

I thought I should just get a proper website, but it's so weird.... those require skills, time, money and effort to create and maintain. I've made several Deuce Bigalowy attempts to whore myself around to make cash, but I blew all that money on records and 18th century porcelain figurines to go on the mantle above the place where I want a fireplace to be.

Yes, triumphant returns often coincide with event promotion. The Augusta House will be filled up with our funky music nerdery next Friday (March 5th) and t'would be splendid to have you there! All 6 of you :)
